| There are 3
classes of membership, Voting, Supporting and Junior. The club's
primary geographic area is the 5-county area of Washington State
including Thurston, Pierce, Kitsap, King and Snohomish counties.
The club's primary purpose is to be representative of the breeders and
exhibitors in its immediate area. Membership is open to all
persons who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club and the
American Belgian Tervuren Club and who subscribe to the purposes of the
Evergreen Belgian Tervuren Club.
The objectives of the Club are:
To do all possible to bring the natural qualities of the Belgian
Tervuren to perfection;
To urge members and breeder to accept the standard of the breed as
approved by the American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence
by which Belgian Tervuren shall be judged;
To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the
breed and to encourage sportsmanlike competition at dog shows obedience
trials, tracking tests, herding tests and trials, and agility trials;
To conduct sanctioned matches, obedience trials, tracking tests,
herding tests and trials, and agility trials and specialty shows under
the rules of the American Kennel Club;
To support the parent club, The American Belgian Tervuren Club, in
its endeavors.
